Description

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. This role involves a variety of financial tasks essential to maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in bookkeeping practices and a proven ability to manage multiple financial operations efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice handling and payment tracking.

• Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.

• Generate financial reports and analyze data to support decision-making processes.

• Perform account reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.

• Handle bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash flow records.

• Collaborate on month-end close activities to ensure timely financial reporting.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, to organize and analyze complex data.

• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar financial role.

• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong skills in account and bank reconciliations.

• Familiarity with payroll processing and related regulations.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and work with pivot tables.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
