    Accounting Manager

    A client of ours is looking for an Accounting Manager for a contract role to lead and manage the month-end close process for a designated group of entities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in general accounting, exceptional experience with NetSuite, and a proactive approach to working with internal staff and external auditors.

     

    Responsibilities of Accounting Manager

     

    + Lead the month-end close process for a designated set of entities, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

    + Oversee daily operations of the accounting team; provide guidance, training, and performance management to staff.

    + Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors by preparing audit schedules, providing documentation, and answering inquiries.

    + Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

    + Maintain and improve close processes, controls, and documentation.

    + Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, FP& A, and Compliance.

    + Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the close cycle.

    + Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.

    + Ensure all accounting records and documentation are properly maintained.

    Requirements

    Skills/Qualifications of Accounting Manager

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

    + 5+years of accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

    + Prior experience in a SaaS or technology-based company is strongly preferred.

    + NetSuite experience is required – must be proficient in its use for financial reporting and close processes.

    + Demonstrated success in managing a month-end close for multiple entities.

    + Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.

    + Experience working directly with auditors, including providing documentation and addressing inquiries.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
