Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will manage essential financial functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounts payable processes. Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification and payment disbursement, with a high level of accuracy.

• Ensure proper account coding and documentation for all financial transactions.

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP tools, such as Workday, to manage and streamline financial operations.

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payment processing.

• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable activities, adhering to organizational and regulatory standards.

• Assist in reconciling accounts and preparing periodic financial reports.

• Monitor and address issues related to accounts receivable (AR) as needed.

• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.

• Continuously evaluate and improve accounts payable processes to enhance efficiency.

• Provide guidance and training to team members on financial systems and procedures. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms, with a preference for Workday.

• Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Familiarity with account coding and general accounting principles.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
