Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in East Lansing, Michigan. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization within the energy and natural resources industry. The role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy before entering them into the system.

• Manage payments through Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfers and other methods.

• Reconcile expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies.

• Maintain detailed and organized records of transactions for auditing purposes.

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies in billing or payments.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting related to accounts payable.

• Assist in month-end closing processes by reviewing and reconciling accounts.

• Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures while handling sensitive payment data.

• Support system updates and improvements for accounts payable processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment processes.

• Ability to review and reconcile expense reports with attention to detail.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial compliance.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
