Civil and Roadway Designer

Our team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practice therefore we have a need for an experienced Civil and Roadway Designer to support general site civil and transportation projects in the Southwest.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to execute 3D modeling of surfaces, roadways, and pipelines as well as execute development of detailed construction drawings for civil projects. Using your experience, you’ll collaborate and coordinate with multiple design disciplines throughout the design process and have the opportunity to mentor civil technicians with less experience.
• A CAD Technical Degree or equivalent AA degree
• At least 5 years design/drafting and 3D modeling experience on civil projects
• Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Good written and verbal communication skills including the proficient use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to work as part of a team and coordinate with multiple design disciplines
• Planning and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure on multiple project deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to see a project through to completion
• Excellent attention to detail of complex civil design components
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Experience with 3D surface modeling and/or roadway modeling
• Experience with drawing management software, Bentley ProjectWise
• Ability to train and develop skills in both MicroStation and AutoCAD software platforms
