    Job Summary:

    Technical procedures - Maintain proficiency, and perform on a regularly assigned basis:

    Stress testing - regular, thallium and pharmacologic

     

    Hook-up holter monitors

     

    ECGs, pacemaker checks, cardiac event recorders

     

    Telephone triage under the direction of RN and/or MD

     

    Patient teaching

     

    Assist the physicians and physician extenders in their daily routine

     

    Be aware of location of emergency equipment; follow emergency protocol as necessary

     

    Maintain sample medication supply when necessary

     

    Coumadin clinic, as per protocol.

     

    Report blood work to patient per physician instruction.

     

    Perform other related duties, as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    NYS licensed/registered LPN. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Prior experience in an outpatient setting (speciality area) strongly preferred.

    Work Days:

    Monday - Friday daytime hours
