Senior Performance Analyst
Chicago Police Department
Office of Constitutional Policing and Reform
Number of Positions: 9

Starting Salary: $80,472 Annually

Under general supervision, performs fully functional professional analysis of programs and operations in city departments and makes recommendations to improve their effectiveness, and performs related duties as required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
+ Analyzes, interprets, and reports on performance data to support informed decision-making, operational efficiency, and policy improvements.
+ Assists in developing analytical frameworks to assess program performance, identify trends, evaluate community concerns, and measure progress toward departmental goals.
+ Produces high-quality research and reports that translate findings into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
+ Coordinates with internal divisions and external agencies to acquire and integrate relevant data for analysis of crime patterns, emerging issues, and service delivery.
+ Evaluates complex operational and business systems; drafts flowcharts and models to assess current work methods and identify areas for improvement.
+ Assists in developing performance indicators for new or modified programs and monitors implementation effectiveness, recommending modifications as needed.
+ Researches and applies best practices, statistical techniques, and modeling methods to inform organizational improvements and strategic planning.
+ Assists in developing and maintaining databases and dashboards to support data reporting and transparency.
+ Utilizes tools such as SQL, Tableau, and GIS platforms for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
+ Facilitates the implementation of new procedures and standards; drafts manuals and documentation to institutionalize changes and improvements. _Additional duties may be required for this position_ **Location:** Public Safety Headquarters, 3510 S. Michigan Avenue **Days:** Monday - Friday **Hours:** 9:00AM - 5:00PM
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree plus three years of work experience in program auditing or operations analysis, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, provided that the minimum degree requirement is met.
**NOTE:** Candidates must pass a background investigation, drug screen, and other pre-employment procedures as determined by the Chicago Police Department
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
This position requires applicants to complete an interview which will include a writing exercise and/or a skills assessment test as part of the interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral and written parts of the interview will be selected.
