Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Accountant with expertise in general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations. The role involves extensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and parallel testing for software implementations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with accounting standards while executing test plans and validating data. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

+ Facilitate and complete month-end closing procedures including general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.

+ Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements by department, and statements of cash flow.

+ Analyze UAT Testing and Parallel Testing for new ERP Implementation

+ Manage accounts within the ERP system for general ledger, accounts payable, and receivables.

+ Support the Controller and Corporate Accounting Manager with special projects and workflow process improvements.

+ Research, develop, and maintain accounting policies in accordance with GAAP.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, and journal entries.

+ Strong skills in UAT Testing's

+ Experience with Excel pivot tables and VLOOKUPS.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting of Finance.

+ 3 – 7 years of accounting experience.

Work Environment

+ This position is based at the corporate headquarters, with on-site work required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The role offers an excellent growth opportunity in a top employer environment in JAX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $37.00/hr.
