Summary:
The Vice President of Operations for Long Term Care, will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations for Rochester Regional Health’s Long Term Care Division. The Long Term Care Division consists of six skilled nursing homes, each providing various specialties of care, as well as transitional care centers. The Vice President of Operations will oversee the day to day operations to ensure quality, positive patient experience, support the growth and support to the bottom line of the organization. The individual in this role will focus on strategic planning, goal setting and direct the daily operations of Long Term Care in support of Rochester Regional Health’s goals. The VP of Operations will report directly to the SVP, Operations at Rochester Regional Health.
Responsibilities:
+ Ensures that all programs conform to the mission and policies of Rochester Regional Health.
+ Establishes operational management systems and processes to ensure maximum efficiencies and effective operations that make a positive impact to the organization’s bottom line.
+ Partners with clinical staff to ensure compliance with all regulations and ensures quality standards and processes are created to deliver the highest level of quality care.
+ Formulates strategic plans for growth and ensures implementation of the strategic plan as it applies to administrative, operational and clinical services.
+ Responsible for the creation and implementation of the annual multi-site budget and ongoing expense monitoring.
+ Receives and analyzes information, formulates work plans, prepares written and oral presentations and articulates goals and action plans clearly. Monitors progress by measuring key performance indicators and course correcting as needed to ultimately meet or exceed stated performance indicators.
+ Provides leadership to the organization, responsible for monitoring revenue, worker productivity, personnel development and recruitment. Introduces accountability at all levels to ensure success.
+ Develops and utilizes existing tools to meet staffing, expense, revenue and occupancy goals.
+ Implements facility specific and Long Term Care Division programmatic services.
+ Integrates Long Term Care with Rochester Regional Health service lines.
+ Assists with joint ventures and new company creation.
+ Develops relationships with the post-acute network community facilities.
+ Assists with development and implementation of hospital Length of Stay initiatives.
+ Understands case mix and long term care reimbursement models to best position the services offered within long term care and the system-wide impact.
+ Builds relationships and develops opportunities to collaborate with internal areas (ElderONE, Home Care, etc.) and community-based organizations (Housing, Discharge Support).
+ Assists with grant management and new opportunities.
+ Interacts with PCASI regarding geriatric physician recruitment, compensation, and facility contracting for community facilities (Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living, and Independent Living).
+ Works in collaboration with the LTC Chief Nursing Officer and LTC Senior Medical Director to achieve the LTC Division’s goals and objectives.
Desired Attributes:
+ Healthcare experience preferred, industry and retail experience will be considered.
+ Strong business and financial acumen; high emotional intelligence. Builds trust-based relationships with peers and senior stakeholders.
+ Strong communication, organization and project management skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in Business Administration, or related field required.
+ Ten plus years of progressive operations and leadership experience required.
Required Licensure/Certification:
+ Licensed in NYS as Nursing Home Administrator OR qualified to obtain license within 1 year of employment.

$150,000.00 - $250,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
