    Title:

    Architect, Data Warehouse

    Job Description:

    Lead the design development and maintenance of enterprise data warehouse and data analytics environment. Possess expertise in modern data architecture, data warehousing, data integration, cloud computing, and analytics solutions. Work with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and optimize enterprise data architecture supporting business intelligence (BI) and advanced analytics initiatives. Job duties:

     

    + Lead the selection and implementation of appropriate data warehousing technologies, including database platforms, ETL/ELT tools, and BI platforms.

    + Work with business stakeholders, data analysts, data scientists, and BI developers to understand business needs and create data warehouse specifications.

    + Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.

    + Design and architect the data warehouse and BI architecture, including integration, storage, processing, and presentation, either independently or in collaboration with external consultants.

    + Work closely with Enterprise IT teams, including SAP infrastructure and database administrators, as well as enterprise system developers and administrators.

    + Develop, implement, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, designing efficient ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, PLM/QMS systems, flat files, APIs) into the data warehouse.

    + Develop and oversee a future roadmap for optimizing cloud data architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.

    + Design and implement real-time and batch data processing solutions using modern data processing frameworks and tools.

    + Ensure data security, compliance, governance, quality, and effective metadata management.

    + Manage the software development lifecycle related to the data warehouse and create standard operating procedures.

    + Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.

    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    2. Minimum five (5) years of experience in data warehousing, data architecture, and business intelligence solutions.

    3. Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling, star schema, and snowflake schema for large-scale date modeling.

    4. Proven knowledge of SQL Server for database management, data modeling, and query optimization.

    5. Expertise in data integration and transformation tools and methodologies (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory, SAP Data Services, etc.).

    6. Expertise in data visualization and business intelligence tools, particularly Power BI, or other BI platforms.

    7. Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.

    8. Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.

    9. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

    Desired Qualifications

    1. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, etc.) for data extraction and transformation.

    2. Proficient in Azure Cloud, big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Data Lake), and Business Analytics.

    3. Experience with project management involving a data lake implementation.

    4. Ability to create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decision-making.

    5. Experience as a lead and/or senior member of a data warehouse team.

    6. General knowledge of GxP, SOX, and other auditable data management requirements.

    7. Knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts.

    8. Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

    9. Certification(s) in Data Architecture, Big Data, Data Engineering, Integrations, and other relevant technologies.

    $140,507 - $175,633 (Compensation could be higher based on education, experience and skill sets)
