    General Description

    The Senior Development Coordinator, under the supervision of the Director of Development, will successfully plan and facilitate all gifts-in-kind for the agency and to support our clients Must have a high attention to detail with accuracy and organization skills. Must be able to work in a fast environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while still meeting project deadlines.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Share the Joy - Agency Wide Holiday Gift Program (50%)

    + Manage all activities for Share the Joy, agency wide holiday gift program, including coordinating requests and fulfillment from agency staff. Main contact for all donors and community connections who support the program. Manage all aspects including receipt and distribution of gifts. In coordination with the website developer, set up and monitor Share the Joy website; additionally, collaborate with marketing for gift solicitation promotion. Complete all follow up activities including alternative gift options, donor acknowledgements, and program data analysis and reporting.

    + Manage Holiday Program Assistant, part-time seasonal staff. Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Development, review applications, conduct interviews, hire and onboard Holiday Program Assistant for support from October – December.

    + Manage and coordinate all volunteers to support Share the Joy program.

    Agency Wide Gifts-in-Kind Donations (30%)

    + Coordinate all in-kind donations, agency wide, as the main contact for donors wishing to donate gifts-in-kind. Screen potential donations to ensure they are appropriate, work with all programs to disburse donated items, follow up as needed, enter gifts into Raiser’s Edge donor database system.

    + Manage and facilitate distribution of various events throughout the year, examples include thanksgiving baskets, cleaning supplies and school supplies drives/distribution. As needed, manage and coordinate all volunteers to support distributions.

    + Facilitate community collection drives throughout the year.

    Other (20%)

    + Support CCFCS’s special and signature events, as needed, both during preparation as well as at the events.

    + As appropriate,provide support to the Developmentteam with various tasks such as proof-reading materials, brainstorming fundraising strategies, content writing for grants and proposals, and other tasks as asked by supervisor(s).

    + Collaborate with marketing on basic social media creation and posting regarding in-kind donations and general community involvement opportunities.

    + Participate in relevant Agency meetings and/or trainings.

    + Actively pursues development of professional competencies related to job role performance through reading, supervision, in-service training and attendance at conferences and workshops.

    + Awareness and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan. Including, but not limited to, supporting the Agency's Core Competency initiatives of being Collaborative and Community Focused, Innovative and Entrepreneurial, and Culturally Competent and Diverse.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    **Education** : Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.

    **Credentials** : Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, team player, strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines

    **Experience** : At least 4 years minimum experience in non-profit fund development or related field. Experience in marketing, fundraising and/or customer service is a plus. Experience with Raiser’s Edge database or Greater Giving a plus.

    A combination of experience and education may be substituted at the discretion of the Associate Director of Development.

    + Possession of a valid NYS Driver’s license and use of a registered and reliable vehicle.
