    Job Description

    As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for writing in-process test procedures for circuit boards and supporting new systems development. You will troubleshoot down to the component level, report unusual faults, and return defective components to Quality Assurance. Your role also involves loading software for system testing and traveling to customers for inspections, installations, and repairs.

    Responsibilities

    + Write in-process test procedures for circuit boards.

    + Design test fixtures.

    + Troubleshoot down to the component level.

    + Collaborate with Engineering to support new systems development.

    + Load software for system testing.

    + Read schematics, wiring diagrams, or wire lists before system testing.

    + Report unusual and/or recurring faults and failures.

    + Return defective components to Quality Assurance.

    + Travel to customer sites for inspections, installations, and repairs.

    + Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience in the electrical/electronic testing field.

    + High school diploma or equivalent required.

    + Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.

    + Working knowledge of digital electronics.

    + Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and test equipment, including the use of a digital oscilloscope.

    + Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.

    + Experience with analog and digital power circuits.

    + Strong troubleshooting skills with PC boards and electronics.

    + Proficiency with oscilloscopes, DVM, and board-level troubleshooting.

    + Strong computer skills.

    + Excellent communication skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Associates or Bachelor’s degree desirable.

    + Established security clearance highly desirable.

    + Power conversion/power supply experience desirable.

    + Self-starter with the ability to travel domestically and internationally.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
