    Civil Survey CAD Technician - Bloomington, IN

     

    We are hiring a Civil Survey CAD Technician to support a stable team in Bloomington, IN! This position will require the CAD Technician to work closely with a Licensed Surveyor and field crew members to draft and layout survey projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D. The Survey CAD Technician plays a crucial role in land surveying and engineering projects, ensuring precision and quality in all drafting tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone with minimal Civil Survey CAD experience to continue learning, advancing, and growing with a team of skilled professionals.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Interpret raw survey data collected by field surveyors, which includes measurements, angles, elevation points, and other relevant information.

    + Create detailed drawings, maps, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including topographic maps, boundary surveys, subdivision layouts, and more.

    + Accurately depict property boundaries, easements, right-of-ways, and other legal aspects with assistance from the Licensed Surveyor.

    + Ensure the accuracy and quality of all drawings produced.

    Job Requirements

    + Proficiency within Civil 3D and experience using Civil 3D to create 3D models

    + Experience within Survey Drafting (Boundary, Topographic, and/or ALTA Surveys)

    + Preferred - 1+ year of relevant professional experience, specifically for Residential Site Plans

    + Preferred - Experience in Boundary Resolution

    + Preferred - B.S. in Comprehensive Design

    + Preferred - Survey Field Experience

    + Projects vary depending on client needs, so this person won't be asked to do the same thing over and over again. This person will also have the ability to advance their career with tuition reimbursement options offered.

    + Employees are offered a flexible schedule, with the option to start their days between 7-9am and end between 3-6pm EST. The team typically works from 7:30am to 4pm EST.

    + Target pay is between $26/hour to $34/hour, depending on candidate's relevant experience.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $34.50/hr.
