ELECTRICAL DESIGNER
Description
The electrical designer shall be responsible for the following main activities for municipal Water/Wastewater system related projects.
Responsibilities:
• Perform field investigation and condition assessment of electrical power distribution and control equipment.
• Develop design for electrical distribution, lighting system and control system for Water and Wastewater facilities using recognized industry standards and specifications.
• Preliminary knowledge of instrumentation devices (level/pressure/temp/flow) etc. preferred.
• Perform system calculations and studies for electrical power system, load flows, voltage drops, short circuit/coordination studies using electrical analytical software (SKM Tools)
• Attend Design meetings with the Client as required and also with other design consultants working on the Project.
Skills Required:
• Working knowledge of standards and codes pertaining to electrical distribution and control system.
• Working knowledge of Auto-CAD, Microsoft Word and Excel software.
• Effective communication skills – verbal and writing with supervisor, colleagues and clients.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Moderate to Good verbal and written communication skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr.
