Job Title: Boiler Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Boiler Operator to join our team during the first shift from 6:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday. The role involves operating and maintaining the facility's boiler/chiller systems and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance while coordinating work orders to fit the daily schedule.
Responsibilities
+ Receive work orders and coordinate work to fit the daily schedule assigned by the department director or designee.
+ Operate and maintain the facility's boiler/chiller systems, and related equipment and control systems to ensure optimal performance.
+ Monitor boiler operations and make adjustments as needed.
+ Respond to emergency calls from facility departments requesting immediate assistance for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration problems.
+ Perform preventive maintenance on related equipment assigned by the director or designee and report deficiencies.
+ Maintain necessary stock and tools to maintain and repair equipment.
+ Keep the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
+ Coordinate repairs to boiler/chiller plant and related systems with other departments.
+ Conduct daily rounds of boiler/chiller plant and related equipment as assigned.
+ Document work and keep accurate records of boiler operations and maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Essential Skills
+ Boiler Operator License
+ 5 years of plant operator experience within commercial, industrial, or healthcare settings
+ 2 years of skilled trade or vocational school
+ Stationary engineer certification
+ Troubleshooting skills
+ Boiler maintenance expertise
+ Facilities maintenance knowledge
+ Preventive maintenance skills
+ Understanding of valves and plant equipment
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical systems
+ Experience with HVAC/R systems
+ Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
+ Proficiency in maintaining and operating boilers
+ Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
+ Effective problem-solving skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $42.00/hr.
