Job Title: Brake Press Operator
Job Description
The Brake Press Operator is responsible for the operation and setup of the press brake, loading and unloading tools, and operating machine controls. The role includes maintaining the machine and performing secondary operations during production. The operator will perform simple or routine setups, notifying machine setup personnel for complex tooling or adjustments, and may operate a computer console. Additionally, the operator verifies the quality of produced parts using simple measurement instruments.
Responsibilities
+ Operate and set up the press brake.
+ Load and unload tools efficiently.
+ Operate machine controls and perform necessary maintenance.
+ Carry out secondary operations during production.
+ Perform simple or routine setups with fixtures and tooling provided by others.
+ Notify machine setup personnel for complex tooling or machine adjustments.
+ Operate computer console as required.
+ Verify the quality of produced parts using simple measurement instruments.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ years of brake press experience.
+ Knowledge of press brake, production, and machine operation.
+ Skill in operating brake press machines, punch press, and other machinery.
+ Ability to follow work instructions and blue print reading skills.
+ Proficiency in using precision measurement equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Possess knowledge of current setup processes on multiple machines.
+ Basic math knowledge including fractions, percents, and proportions.
+ Accuracy in counting parts and production data entry.
+ Basic computer PC skills needed.

Work Environment
The work environment is a sheet metal setting, producing products for companies like Paccar, Kenworth, Philips, and Schwitzer. The role requires standing on feet for 10-hour shifts and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodinville, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.44 - $31.44/hr.
