Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and reliable forklift operator who will be responsible for various tasks essential to the efficient operation of our warehouse. The candidate will play a key role in receiving, picking, and maintaining inventory while adhering to company policies and fostering a positive work environment.

Shift: 2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm)

Pay: $19.80 (room for growth to $21/hour)

Responsibilities

+ Receive and inspect incoming parts for accuracy from vendors and update the computer system before placing them in the appropriate warehouse location.

+ Pick part orders in both low and high locations using RF scanners and load orders onto production carts.

+ Participate in the cycle counting program and bin/space consolidation program, while maintaining general cleanliness of inventory and the warehouse facility.

+ Become cross-trained within the department and work in other departments as necessary, identifying and addressing potential errors.

+ Adhere to the company handbook and all departmental rules and regulations, ensuring respect for fellow employees and safety.

+ Maintain warehouse equipment according to schedule and report any issues to the supervisor immediately.

+ Accept responsibility for actions and work performed, maintaining a positive attitude and functioning well in a teamwork environment.

+ Participate in all company-sponsored activities, including suggestion programs and quality training.

+ Perform other duties as required, maintaining a positive attitude and showing respect for fellow associates at all times.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with sit-down or stand-up forklifts (at least 1 year).

+ Proficiency in packing and shipping/receiving.

+ Material handling skills.

+ Experience using RF scanners.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Forklift certification is preferred.

Our facility is renowned for efficiency and reliability, akin to the quality of a Mercedes Benz or Lexus. The Buffalo Grove facility is one of five in the US, divided into manufacturing and production areas. With 150 employees working within a clean and organized setting, many products utilized in the facility ensure automation in operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
