    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    We are now hiring for a Machine Operator in Greater Portland. In this role, you will use an Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machine to inspect finished printed circuit boards (PCBs) for any quality issues. IPC Certification is preferred but not required. Previous production or manufacturing experience is required, with a preference for those familiar with quality inspection or quality control. This role involves both seated and standing work, bending and loading parts, and using microscopes and other optical instruments.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate AOI machine to inspect finished PCBs for quality issues.

    + Conduct detailed inspections using microscopes and other optical instruments.

    + Perform quality control and quality assurance tasks.

    + Bend and load parts as required during the inspection process.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    Essential Skills

    + Previous production or manufacturing experience.

    + Familiarity with quality inspection or quality control.

    + Strong attention to detail.

    + Ability to work in an ITAR facility.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + IPC Certification is preferred.

    + Experience with electronic inspection and surface-mount technology.

    Work Environment

     

    This position is for the 1st shift, running from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The work environment is a large, open warehouse with many storage racks, creating a maze-like layout. The facility is very clean, dust-free, and temperature-controlled. A smock is required to eliminate static.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Portland, Maine.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
