    Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems, including mechanical and electrical components. This role involves evaluating and recommending equipment improvements to enhance efficiency, capability, and yield. The technician will conduct equipment failure analyses, troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, and prepare technical reports to document preventative maintenance issues.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems.

    + Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to enhance efficiency, capability, and yield.

    + Conduct equipment failure analyses, including preventive and unscheduled maintenance.

    + Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.

    + Prepare technical reports to document preventative maintenance issues.

    + Assist with repairs and diagnostics of advanced processing equipment, CNC, material handling systems, press brakes, lifting devices, and sawing equipment.

    + Perform maintenance and repair tasks on material handling and processing equipment.

    + Calculate, lay-out, and draw; balance and align equipment.

    + Perform rigging activities, safety-related functions, and other miscellaneous maintenance functions.

    + Utilize or fabricate parts from various materials including metals and plastics.

    + Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes.

    + Program Variable Frequency Drives and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers.

    + Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.

    Essential Skills

    + General knowledge of basic troubleshooting skills.

    + Ability to perform maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical and electrical systems.

    + Industrial maintenance experience of 5 plus years.

    + Experience working independently.

    + Experience following a preventative maintenance schedule.

    + Experience with facilities maintenance.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + CNC Tooling, Programming, Machine Repair, and Installation.

    + Commercial Electrical Expertise and Electrical Repair.

    + Machine Safety Inspections.

    + Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry, Building Maintenance.

    + Experience with MIG welding, repair, industrial maintenance, forklift repair, CNC maintenance, press maintenance, PLC control.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is non-climate controlled and may be dirty. The shift requires availability Monday to Friday, from 6am to 2pm, with overtime as needed.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensboro, North Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
