    Job Description

    The Facilities General Manager is responsible for planning, administering, and directing all activities related to facilities maintenance, custodial, and grounds management. This role includes client financial accountability and compliance with established standards. The General Manager will maintain effective working relationships with other departments to ensure a unified approach to facilities management and will be responsible for the development and growth of a large management team and hourly employees. The focus will be on meeting and exceeding operating and financial goals, client objectives, KPI metrics, and customer needs, with daily interaction with the client, client's customers, and employees. Operational excellence in service delivery is paramount.

    Responsibilities

    + Plan and direct all activities related to facilities maintenance, custodial, and grounds management.

    + Maintain client financial accountability and ensure compliance with established standards.

    + Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments.

    + Develop and grow a large management team and hourly employees.

    + Focus on meeting and exceeding operating and financial goals, client objectives, KPI metrics, and customer needs.

    + Ensure operational excellence in the delivery of contracted services.

    + Daily interaction with the client, client's customers, and employees.

    Essential Skills

    + Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, facilities maintenance

    + Lean manufacturing and operations maintenance

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in Manufacturing management (Automotive Supplier)

    + Knowledge of facility-related equipment, financial analysis, and interpretation

    + Experience and knowledge of custodial, grounds, and maintenance services (boilers, chillers, generators, HVAC/R preferred)

    + Prior experience in mentoring and developing management-level staff

    + Experience leading 100+ person staff of managers and hourly employees

    + Previous P&L experience managing budgets in the multi-millions within the facilities industry

    + Demonstrated time management skills

    + Bachelor Degree from an accredited university/college; MBA is preferred

    + Previous construction management experience highly preferred

    This is a Permanent position based out of Flint, Michigan.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
