Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. •Within Azure Data, the big data analytics team provides a range of products that enable data engineers and data scientists to extract intelligence from all data – structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. Responsibilities
+ Develop highly-efficient code that scales to millions of active users at minimal operational costs.
+ A hands-on technical leader who sets the engineering direction with sound design practices and guides the team with best practices in software design.
+ Establish (Key Performance Indicators) KPIs and successfully drive execution through collaboration and partnership with Program Management (PM) team and partners.
+ Lead the team by bringing clarity, creating energy, and driving results.
+ Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of various capabilities with focus on quality, scale and sustainable development practices.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
+ 5+ years of experience/knowledge of cloud computing, enterprise computing, database products
+ 5+ years experience in technical leadership in driving engineering roadmaps, leading v-teams, mentoring and helping others grow technically.
Other Requirements
+ Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
+ This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,OR Python
+ OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 10+ years of industry experience in software development and building world class solutions.
+ Outstanding technical problem solving and debugging skills.
+ Passion for quality with experience designing and implementing automated tests, including unit tests and integration tests.
+ Effective communication skills, Both written and verbal communications skills (to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels).
Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
