    Responsibilities

    + You are responsible for the technical design and implementing low latency, high performance, always available software for a plant scale service for mission critical workloads

    + You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Azure CosmosDB, to enable and succeed both Microsoft internal and customers to be successful on CosmosDB platform.

    + You lead by example. You are a hands-on practitioner in development, operationalization and support

    + Your ability to balancing the long-term architecture while delivering the incremental milestones with simplicity and maintainability as core tenets and executing it through peers

    Qualifications

    Required/Minimum Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 4+ years of experience designing and delivering scalable, production-grade services, APIs, or developer platforms.

    Other Requirements

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

     

    + Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    Preferred/Additional Qualifications

    + Prior development experience, in delivering large scale services with a fearless mindset to tackle intrinsically hard technical problems and making customer successful.

    + Problem-solving, design and troubleshooting skills, with a bias for designing and supporting systems at scale with high quality.

    + Able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues/abstractions and technologies understandably.

    + Willingness to learn, cooperate and collaborate with-in and across teams and ability to progress independently.

    + Self-starter, execute, get it done, and own the feature, accountable while maintaining a very high-quality bar

     

    Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
