As a **Software Engineer II** , you’ll be a key member of the team responsible for shipping experiences that span horizontally across the EVE sentiment platform. Our team is run as a start-up, encouraging team members to share a sense of “founderism”. We're looking for those who bring fresh ideas from relevant technical areas including LLM prompt engineering, service engineering, distributed systems, security, user experience, and developer agility.     This position is based out of the Redmond, WA office and supports 50% work on-site and 50% work from home. Relocation assistance within the United States is available for this role.

    Responsibilities

    We are considering candidates broadly for multiple roles within the team, spanning front-end, back-end, client services and more.

     

    + Design and deliver experiences from incubations stage to maturity with customer trust and user delight.

    + Bring your experience to a vibrant team through design review, code review and mentoring while helping the team build an inclusive culture where everyone can do their best work.

    + Work with team members within and outside of the team to disambiguate complex problems.

    + Take ownership of component design decisions working with product owners and dependencies.

    + Develop and release horizontal platform features for the Viva Product Suite.

    + Define and build systems and strategies to ensure quality, performance, simplicity, durability, scalability, and maintainability.

    + Collaborate with other engineers to build demos and apps to showcase these services.

    + Gather feedback from real users and iterate in data driven manner.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + Experience building, delivering, and maintaining web applications or services (Azure or comparable cloud).

    Other Requirements:

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

     

    + Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    + Technical abilities around service design, coding, debugging, and problem solving.

    Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
