    Salary: $1400 / Week

     

    Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant responsible for performing duties under the direction of a physician to assist in the examination and treatment of patients.

     

    + Conducts detailed health screenings to refugee individuals and families using nursing assessments and interventions, patient care planning, evaluation, and medical care coordination.

    + Maintains the clinic environment, coordinates the patient care team efforts, delegates task, and directs clinic flow.

    + Obtains, reconcile and documents health history, vaccines, medications.

    + Administers vaccines and documents in electronic health record

    + Participates and assists in the training and orientation of health care professional students and new employees.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + At least 1 year as an MA in a clinic setting, ideally public health but not required

    + Candidate must hit the ground running, minimum orientation provided. Must be comfortable and skilled administering vaccines.

    + PLEASE NOTE PARKING IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. WESTLAKE LIGHT RAIL SECTION IS A 5 MIN WALK AWAY.

    + Needs to have a good personality and be personable

    + They work with a lot of homeless individuals, some of which have mental health issue
