    THE ROLE

    As a member of the Corporate Finance team, the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis leads central financial analysis, budgets, forecasts, and strategic finance.

     

    The role is a senior leader and change agent that plays a critical role in the Company’s efforts to build a world-class finance function while partnering across the business to ensure processes are running smoothly and financial results are communicated effectively.

     

    Works closely with Corporate, Business Unit, Business Development, and various Finance and Executive leadership to lead, build, review, and communicate financial models, forecasts, and analytics.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Corporate FP&A

    + Lead periodic analytics, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling processes.

    + Leads the building of financial tools and analysis for consolidated and profit center margins, growth, and KPIs.

    + Analyzes balance sheets, free cash flow, and investments, including working capital, cash returns, and valuation analyses.

    + Prepares presentations for Board of Directors meetings and investor relations.

    + Strategic Analysis

    + Can design comprehensive financial models and sensitivity analyses to support investment analysis (IRRs, NPVs, Payback Period)

    + Can coordinate cross-functional communication and review of payback models.

    + Leads development of competition and market share analyses

    + Leads creation of long-range planning and valuation modeling.

    + Transformation

    + Experience leading finance change management, integration, transformation, or turnaround.

    + Advance usage and functionality of the company’s modern, SAAS-based, multi-dimensional software tools for analysis, planning, and reporting.

    + Recommend and drive analytics process improvements and governance; lead input to improve the form, effectiveness, and controls for analysis, forecasting, and reporting.

    + Develop opportunities for automated analytics, forecasting, and modeling.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience

     

    + 7-10 years’ experience in corporate finance or strategic planning at a large corporation, preferably with both private equity owned and publicly traded companies.

    + Industry experience in a capital-intensive business in the business services, restaurant, or hospitality space preferred.

    + Experience within a matrixed, global corporate organization, demonstrating hands on knowledge of the related financial data and consolidation thereof.

    + MBA in Finance or Accounting discipline.

     

    Skills and Abilities

     

    + Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Power BI or Tableau a plus.

    + Experience reading and negotiating customer and vendor-facing contracts.

    + Financial consolidation & planning software administration experience (deFacto, BPC, Hyperion, etc.)

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
