Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Supervisor to oversee the clinical operations across multiple sites in the Guthrie Medical Group, PC Ophthalmology Service Line. The Clinical Supervisor will ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, manage clinical staff, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. They will work closely with the clinical manager, section leads, clinical personnel and physicians to ensure effective and efficient operations.
Qualifications:
Education, License & Cert:
+ Associate’s degree preferred. A minimum of three (3) years’ comparable related experience, of which at least two (2) years has been in a supervisor or lead level.
+ One of the following preferred: Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Assistant, LPN or RN. COA is required within 1 year of hire regardless of background.
Experience:
+ This position requires a high level of responsibility for the work of others. Excellent independent judgement, planning, and problem ‐ solving skills are required. Problems are varied and moderately complicated. This position requires advanced communication and time management skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
+ Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
+ Ability to travel between practice locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Supports the Sr. Director ‐ Service Line and Clinical Manager to manage daily operational activities of assigned offices.
+ Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of clinical staff, including ophthalmologists, optometrists, technicians, and support staff.
+ Collaboration with ophthalmic service line management team to ensure efficient patient flow and high standards of patient care across all practice locations including organizing and participation in regular meetings and departmental rounding to promote employee engagement
+ Develop and implement clinical protocols and procedures to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
+ Monitor and evaluate clinical staff performance, providing feedback, training, and development opportunities.
+ Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant standards.
+ Collaborate with administrative staff to manage scheduling, inventory, time sheets, and other operational needs.
+ Interviewing, and other processes of hiring new employees, both internally and externally. Assures continuity in employee orientation program among Sections. 5. Individually, and in conjunction with administrative assistance, is responsible for analyzing workflow in each Section to ensure efficient use of staff, space, and productivity.
+ Address patient concerns and complaints, ensuring a positive patient experience.
+ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
+ Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology and optometry practices and integrate new techniques and technologies into practice.
+ Report to and work in coordination with the Clinical Manager to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
+ Assists in the preparation of Sections for arrival of new physicians by identifying staffing, scheduling, and other provider ‐ specific requirements.
+ Participates in Clinic committees and project teams as appropriate.
+ In collaboration with Clinical Manager develops a yearly plan of personal growth and development.
+ Carries out other responsibilities as may be necessary.
Other Duties
+ Based on service line need for coverage, may cover for an ophthalmic assistant, ophthalmic technician or diagnostic technician.
+ Other duties as assigned.
