    Overview

     

    St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking an Occupational Health/Safety Specialist to join our collaborative and fun team. In this key role, you will coordinate care plans and return-to-work processes while supporting the health and safety needs of our employer partners. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth, supportive, and service-focused experience for patients, employers, and care providers.

    What to Expect

    • Coordinate patient care plans, return-to-work processes, physical exams, and medical clearances in partnership with employers.

    • Schedule and manage appointments for the Occupational Health and Concussion Clinic, including obtaining insurance authorizations and provider approvals.

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, employers, third-party payers, and external partners; handle inquiries and resolve issues via phone, email, and in person.

    • **Part-time** position with a dedicated schedule: Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    • Support hearing conservation and on-site occupational health services in compliance with OSHA and employer-specific requirements.

    • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.

    Qualifications

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent

    • Experience: No previous experience required

    • Licenses/Certifications: None required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in customer service within a healthcare or professional office setting

    • Familiarity with MROA (Medical Review Officer Assistant) responsibilities

    • Strong computer and scheduling skills; Epic experience a plus
