Senior Project Manager, Cost-out

As a Senior Project Manager, you will coordinate multiple projects between departments in order to accelerate the completion of cost reduction projects. The role will include coordinating project ideation sessions, determining project scope, but primarily cross functional coordination to ensure resources are aligned and delivering the expected project results. You will be accountable for the overall schedule and cost reduction performance of your projects.

Being a highly motivated cross-functional team leader will be essential for success. You will have broad responsibilities in leading team members from multiple disciplines. The role involves engaging with cross-functional team members, executive staff members, partners and suppliers. You must possess the ability to promote collaborative decision-making, provide direction and establish a sense of urgency within the project teams. The ability to effectively lead multiple projects through ambiguity is critical for success in the role.

Primary Objectives:

+ Lead cross-functional teams (Global Supply, Engineering, Production plants) to accelerate the delivery of cost reduction projects

+ Manage stakeholder needs and expectations by effectively facilitating tradeoff decisions and clearly communicating project status

+ Lead several projects at one time and operates with substantial latitude for un-reviewed action or decision

Accountable for:

+ The overall coordination, acceleration and success of the cost reduction projects.

+ Program performance measured by cost and schedule metrics.

+ Building and leading cross-functional teams using resources from all functional areas of the company.

+ Communicating all aspects of program status including identification and resolution of risks/roadblocks

+ Facilitating monthly and quarterly leadership reviews with key stakeholders on acceleration of cost reduction projects, and providing an input in financial planning process

Required Experience:

+ Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years related project management experience required

+ Experience in a manufacturing business leading cross-functional teams including engineering, and/or global supply

+ PMP or other project management certification preferred

+ Microsoft Office experience – including strong Microsoft Excel experience and Project

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $90,200 - 135,200 Annualized

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
