    Meteorologist Intern –

     

    Nexstar is currently offering an unpaid internship opportunity in our Weather Department at our Wichita Falls, Texas location. Interested applicants should apply to this open position on www.texomashomepage.com please include a resume with the following information:

    + Spring: February through April

    + Summer: June through August

    + Fall: October through December

    + Available start and end dates

    + Days and hours available to intern

    Requirements:

    + Current college student or recent graduate.

    + Strong attention to detail.

    + Strong organization and time management skills.

    + Knowledge of Microsoft suite is a plus (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

    + Able to work a minimum of 15 hours a week (unpaid).

    + Enthusiasm to learn and a positive attitude.

    + Desire to work on a team.

    + Self-starter with proactive mindset.

     

    As a Meteorologist Intern, you will assist in forecasting weather for our clients, by producing forecast videos, written discussions, and consultation content. You will help interpret weather models and trends, translate that data into useful and actionable communication, and work closely with our creative team to produce engaging and informative video updates.
