Administrative Assistant

Northwestern College has a full-time position opening, beginning July 1, for an individual who will assist in the marketing & communications office’s efforts to advance the college’s brand broadly and deeply through a variety of projects. This is a full-time, 12-month position, but applicants seeking a flexible or part-time schedule will be considered. Responsibilities will include:

+ Posting news releases, job openings and calendar items on the website

+ Cataloging images in Northwestern’s photo database

+ Disseminating news releases to media outlets

+ Coordinating the ordering of employee business cards and nametags

+ Conducting clerical tasks and other projects as needed

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience. This individual must possess proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel; excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and commitment to customer service; strong attention to detail; and experience with, or ability to become competent in the use of, Adobe Photoshop and website content management systems.
