A Brief Overview
The Monitor Technician/Clinical Secretary continually monitors cardiac rhythms on a specific unit, identifies and
interprets changes in rhythms and acts appropriately. Performs clerical duties on a nursing unit, answers the telephone, relays messages, and acts as a receptionist receiving and directing visitors and ambulatory patients.
What you will do
+ Telephone and patient call bells are answered in a prompt & appropriate manner, redirects calls and patient requests promptly to appropriate staff,
+ Utilizes Service Response Center in a timely manner,
+ Obtains/stocks/organizes office supplies,
+ Maintains label book and logbook with updates daily with no more than (1) occurrences of noncompliance
+ Verifies with nurse on admission and every shift patient on telemetry
Education Qualifications
+ High School Diploma with the successful completion of Medical Terminology and Monitor Tech course with a passing score on the examination Preferred
Experience Qualifications
+ MT/Clerical experience Preferred

+ Works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers.
