    Summary

    This position plays a key role in shaping Carhartt's presence across digital platforms, particularly on Amazon.com. As the Lead Digital Designer, you will collaborate closely with Amazon and Carhartt Merchandising and Marketing teams to both deliver high-quality assets and strategically elevate Carhartt’s brand presentation. You will be responsible for thinking beyond execution—identifying opportunities to improve visibility, customer engagement, and overall brand impact. Additionally, you will work with creative leadership to aid in maintaining digital brand guidelines, develop design templates, and streamline workflows, ensuring an efficient and effective creative process. You will also be responsible for the management of the creative assets that are uploaded to Amazon.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee the design and creative development of assigned digital design projects from concept to launch, with a focus on elevating Carhartt’s brand presence on Amazon.

    + Collaborate with Amazon Marketing, Merchandising, and Sales team and our copywriters to create impactful work that improves brand visibility and engagement on the Amazon platform.

    + Help define and maintain brand standards on Amazon— continuously applying updates and improvements to the Digital Brand Style Guide to ensure consistency and strategic alignment.

    + Manage and prioritize multiple projects across the Amazon platform, ensuring creative initiatives are executed efficiently while meeting strategic goals.

    + Partner with Creative Director and Brand Design Managers to create work that speaks genuinely to the Carhartt consumer, shapes a consistent image, and aligns with brand strategies.

    + Participate in strategic brainstorming sessions, contributing to the creation of thoughtful and comprehensive creative briefs (imagery, merchandising, video, display, and copy).

    + Stay informed on the latest technologies, trends, and opportunities within the industry and particularly on the Amazon platform. Lead creative initiatives to bring new features, updates, and beta opportunities to life through a strategic design lens.

    + Collaborate with Marketing and Merchandising teams to identify and execute A/B testing opportunities, optimizing creative assets and strategies for maximum conversion on Amazon.

    + Own the process of loading and updating content on Amazon, ensuring all creative assets meet Amazon’s best practices and Carhartt brand standards.

    + Refine imagery and provide direction when needed during planning and production.

    + Assist in the production process as needed.

    + Support team growth on all levels by sharing ideas, learnings, and design trends while encouraging others to do the same.

    Education

    + Bachelor's degree in advertising, design/visual communication, or equivalent years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree

    + Advertising portfolio school background is preferred, but not required if the candidate has a portfolio of work demonstrating his or her ability to create smart, strategic, and award-winning creative work

     

    Required Skills and Experience

     

    + 5 or more years of experience designing for eCommerce, preferably Amazon, with a focus on optimizing brand presence and driving engagement and conversion

    + Proficient in design software with a preferred 5-7 years of experience in digital design systems, i.e. Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Invision, etc.

    + Strong attention to visual detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all brand assets

    + Agency or client-side experience

    + Collection of past work demonstrating strong conceptual thinking

    + Solid presentation skills – experience presenting to creative directors and clients preferred

    + Clear and professional communication skills

    + Ability to collaborate with multiple teams – both inside and outside of the creative department

    + Understanding of the production process

     

    Working Conditions

     

    + Typical office environment; office setting. Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer is required

    + Willing to work some evenings and weekends if necessary

    + ​​This position has a Hybrid location: Associate will work on-site regularly as needed for work activities.

    + National travel required (up to 5%)
