    V2X is seeking a Project Communications Manager to support stakeholder engagement for the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division (E20) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) that conducts research and development analyses in the following technical disciplines: guided munitions including guided and unguided projectiles, guided missiles, and guided rockets, advanced fire control and methods to close the fire control loop against threats, gun and launcher systems, sensors, and high speed projectiles and bullets.

     

    As a Project Communications Manager you will lead and execute strategic communications for both internal and external stakeholders supporting the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division (E20). The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing skills, expertise in graphic design for PowerPoint presentations, and the ability to craft compelling messaging that aligns with organizational goals.

     

    An active Secret clearance and US Citizenship is required. This position is full time on site at NSWCDD.

    Responsibilities

    Major Job Activities:

    + Develop and implement communication strategies for internal and external audiences.

    + Create high-quality written content, including reports, speeches, and presentations.

    + Design visually engaging PowerPoint presentations for executive briefings and stakeholder meetings.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and effective communication.

    + Maintain confidentiality and security protocols in all communications.

    Material & Equipment Directly Used:

    Laptop Computer

    Working Environment:

    On site in an office / lab environment at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD).

    Physical Activities:

    + Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

    + Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.

    + Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.

    Qualifications

    Education / Certifications:

    + Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following: Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, Business Administration.

    Experience / Skills:

    + Fifteen (15) years professional experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field.

    + Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.

    + Proficiency in PowerPoint and graphic design tools (Adobe Suite preferred).

    + Strong strategic thinking and ability to manage multiple projects.

    + Experience working with government agencies or defense-related industries is a plus.

    + Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

    + Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.

    + Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

    Clearance Requirement:

    An active SECRET DoD Security Clearance is required.
