    AT A GLANCE

    RVO Health Pharmacy and Care Services team is seeking a Supervising Pharmacist in the state of New York for a strategic pharmacy operations opportunity. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, provide exceptional patient care, and lead a team of pharmacy staff members effectively. The Supervising Pharmacist will be responsible for maintaining high standards of practice, optimizing workflow efficiency, and upholding the pharmacy's reputation for excellence. Successful candidates will have demonstrated success leading pharmacy operations, eCommerce or pharmaceutical distribution strategy, large scale implementations, and lean process design.

     

    Where You'll Be

     

    This role follows a hybrid work model with potential flexibility, depending on pharmacy operations and business needs.

    What You’ll Do

    + Supervise daily pharmacy operations and ensure accuracy in prescription processing.

    + Oversee compliance with New York state pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices to maintain a safe and legal pharmacy environment.

    + Ensure all processes and functions meet, and continue to meet, FDA and Pharmacy accreditation and compliance standards and support required reporting processes to manage and communicate compliance

    + Provide clinical expertise and guidance to pharmacy staff on drug interactions and dosage instructions.

    + Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication therapy management.

    + Conduct regular staff training, performance evaluations, and mentorship to foster a positive work environment.

    + Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and workflow to ensure efficient and timely prescription processing.

    + Maintain accurate records of prescription orders and patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

    + Handle escalated patient inquiries, complaints, and medication-related issues with professionalism and empathy.

    + Establish and maintain a consumer escalation model, ensuring that each inquiry is documented and remediated in a timely fashion.

    + Stay updated on industry trends, new medications, and advancements in pharmacy practice to enhance service quality and patient outcomes.

    + Continually improve and look for ways to automate critical operating systems and reporting

    What We’re Looking For

    + Doctorate in Pharmacy

    + Licensed Pharmacist in the state of New York with an active license in good standing.

    + Strong knowledge of New York pharmacy laws, regulations, and industry standards.

    + 4+ years in Pharmacy Operations experience

    + Possess transformational leadership skills with the ability to articulate a vision of the organization and to define objectives and time frames essential to realizing strategic goals

    + Exceptional collaboration, listening, negotiating, written and verbal communication skills

    + Proven ability to address and solve problems in a creative, innovative, timely, and decisive fashion

    + Demonstrated ability to coach others to identify issues, conduct root cause analysis and take corrective actions to sustainably drive results

    + Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and technology for prescription processing and record-keeping.

     

    Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

     

    + Starting Salary: $146,625 - 170,000* _*Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience_
