The role** **you** **’ll** **contribute** **:

The Director of Security and Emergency Operations is responsible for Security, Emergency Management, and other programs as assigned for AdventHealth Daytona Beach, Port Orange and Health Park and or AH East Region. Under limited supervision, manages the implementation and operation of the Security Management program for AdventHealth Daytona Beach. Assesses security threats to the hospital and assists in planning appropriate strategies and countermeasures. Reviews and analyzes data and devises risk minimization programs. Works in collaboration with the Director of Facilities to ensure consistent Security Operations at all locations. Provides operational management of the Care Centers at the Daytona International Speedway, Port Orange Emergency Department, and Port Orange Health Park, oversees and is responsible for all Disaster Preparedness and Management of Emergency services for AdventHealth Daytona Beach, Port Orange and Health Park and or AH East Region as needed.

+ Oversees Security operations, parking and traffic enforcement for Daytona Beach campus. a) Remains visible and interfaces directly with administration, physicians, employees, contractors and customers in a manner which reflects our Service Standards. b) Oversees facility access points/ visitor management program

+ Oversees and is accountable for all Patient care services and operations in a cost-effective, efficient manner assuring that staff and physicians provide high quality care in a courteous and friendly atmosphere, and extension services as requested by various departments and entities a) Responsible for all clinical and non-clinical operations including but not limited to patient care monitoring and appropriate documentation, order completion, patient education, and referral for follow up care, both in the medical records and logs, as indicated. Assures medical records are maintained with respect to patient confidentiality, security and completeness. b) Manages all personnel and ensures adequate coverage during all hours of operation using flexible staffing when appropriate. Works with scheduling to insure availability and quality of service

+ Responsible for the hiring process for Security departments. Completes performance evaluations timely and is involved in employee counseling, coaching and termination per policy. Provides orientation for new employees and ensures compliance with department policy and procedure. Maintains high levels of employee engagement and job performance by providing recognition and opportunities for learning. Ability to appropriately handle stress and interact with others.

**Minimum qualifications** :

+ Bachelor's Required

+ 3 Related Experience Required

+ Current Paramedic or related healthcare field certification Required

+ Driver's License (DL) State of Florida Class E driver’s license and driving record in accordance withAdventHealth Policy Required

+ International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic Training Certification program. If applicant is not currently certified, must be completed within the first 180 days of employment Required

+ International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Certified Advanced Healthcare Security Officer (CAHSO) and Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor (CHSS). If applicant is not currently certified, must
