    Position Description:

    Supervises a section in a department that has institutional oversight responsibilities; coordinates activities of personnel and procedures to carry out departmental objectives according to established policies and procedures.

    Major/Essential Functions:

    + Supervises the daily operations of the Faculty Wellness section and executes wellness initiatives in accordance with the Faculty Wellness Program's strategic plan for all component schools within TTUHSC El Paso

    + Supervises and trains staff assigned to the section, and implements mechanisms for project tracking and accountability

    + Coordinates activities of personnel and procedures to carry out departmental objectives according to established policies and procedures

    + Oversees purchasing activities for the section and the department and provides the fiscal oversight, including purchasing card compliance and travel system applications and vouchers

    + Collaborates with Managing Director in the development of budgets for programs within area of responsibility

    + Maintains policies, case management and tracking of referrals assigned to the Physician and Student Well Being Committee (PSWBC) to ensure accurate, confidential record-keeping practices and timely follow-ups and reporting

    + Collaborates with the PSWBC Chair to support the needs of the committee

    + Supports the Faculty Wellness Champion program and collaborates with departmental leadership on Faculty Wellness Program initiatives

    + Collaborates with departmental leadership and faculty in the development, implementation and administration of workplace health promotion policies/programs

    + Collects, compiles, and analyzes faculty data (e.g., faculty wellness assessment, environmental scans/assessments, and Wellness Champion evaluations)

    + Recommends key performance indicators and conducts assessments for baseline and trend data to track program progress

    + Establishes positive working relationships with faculty and other departments to support Faculty Wellness Program goals and objectives

    + Provides administrative and organizational support for the Faculty Governance, including Faculty Senate, Faculty Senate Executive Committee, its standing committees and Ad-hoc Committees as needed, to include scheduling, tracking attendance at meetings for quorum, prepares meeting minutes, chair’s notes, presentation materials and collaterals for review and distribution flyers, programs, menus, invitations, marketing materials

    + Serves as Project Manager for assigned Faculty Affairs functions and performs special projects as designated by Vice President for Faculty Success, Managing Director or other assigned supervisor

    + Oversees data systems, physical and digital confidential records, and reporting mechanism for faculty wellness data

    + Implements internal communication campaigns targeting faculty and develops internal marketing for Faculty Wellness Program activities, interventions, policies, and programs

    + Plans and coordinates educational programming to include a quarterly Grand Round series, and arranges continuing professional education credit(s) as appropriate Provides administrative support to the Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs and Wellness Participates on special projects, cycle-events/ functions and provides cross-coverage for Faculty Services and Faculty Recruitment on an as needed basis

    + Collects, compiles, and analyzes Standpoint Survey data, and prepares reports and collaborates with Vice President for Faculty Success, Managing Director or other assigned supervisor to assess results in preparation of measurable objectives

    + Adheres to all TTUHSC El Paso policies, procedures and processes

    + Personally demonstrates, displays and acts in accordance with TTUHSC El Paso Values-Based Culture (Service, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement and Teamwork) Actively promotes and encourages staff across the institution

    + Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Knowledge of personal computers, specifically, MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), MS Outlook, Adobe Software

    + Database experience

    + Experience in healthcare or university setting

    + Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Suite Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and other graphic design software applications

    + Experience in public health, health promotion, or employee wellness or faculty wellness programs
