    What You Will Learn:

    The role of Manager of D2C eCommerce will be responsible for leading the brand’s digital road map and optimizing the brand’s user experience strategy across our quick-growing eCommerce channel, inclusive of monthly and quarterly promotions, homepage refreshes, product launches, and SEO content updates to provide a “best in class” experience for our customers. With rigor in site merchandising and promotional calendar planning, the Manager of D2C eCommerce determine any friction in the consumer experience using analytics and site conversion KPIs and play an integral role in influencing cross-functional teams to drive results. This position will need to have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage internal and external resources to bring projects to life, while maintaining a result driven approach. This person should have strong communication skills and understand how to prioritize projects, be proactive, and have the ability to work well independently and, in a team setting.

     

    This position will oversee one direct report (Management Trainee) and work collaboratively with the wider digital and marketing teams, as well as cross-functionally with other key brand stakeholders as well as external teams (DMI, CDMO, LeCare, 3rd party vendors, etc.) The ideal candidate is passionate, data-driven, results-oriented and consumer-obsessed. They should have an eye on the marketplace and a thorough understanding of D2C best practices. Existing skincare knowledge or a high level of interest within the métier is key to success.

    This role drives collaboration and influences multiple levels of leadership to execute on the following key deliverables & responsibilities:

    Sales Forecasting & Promotional Planning:

    + Deliver preliminary sales forecasting. Partner with Site Lead, Finance and Demand Planning to ensure alignment with growth goals and support the brand’s acceleration plans

    + Own consumer generosity strategy. Identify net new promotional opportunities and partner with marketing/finance to source samples, GWPs and/or E&O inventory to execute

    + Monitor competitive landscape and propose areas of opportunity to refine on-site experiences, promotional strategy and develop consumer-centric content

    + Manage strategy, ideation and production of exclusive GWPs to drive incremental D2C revenue. Partner closely with DDX and media teams to create targeted offering tailored towards consumer acquisition

    Site Merchandising & UX:

    + Submit merchandising tickets for all site content updates, performing thorough UAT across devices to ensure an optimal experience

    + Set up of all new product launches on site, including PDP, set up, inventory tracking and site content

    + Set up of all merchandising and promotional programing including evergreen offers, major events and holiday programming

    + Support the ongoing maintenance of the site, including PDP audits, sample programming, 3rd party vendor support, inventory management etc.

    + Drive UX/UI excellence to increase conversion, synthesizing key learnings and insights from consumer site behavior to inform a feedback loop with Marketing, Education and DMI

    + Incorporate SEO enhancements (based off observed trends and data-driven insights) within our site’s framework to help drive and convert site traffic into sales

    + Support the brand’s website platform management, partnering with the Digital Solutions team to ensure site is maintained and ensure that best practices observed for other brands within the L’Oreal portfolio are implemented

    + Work with cross-functional team members including Digital, US Marketing and Global DMI to support new site features, product launches and tentpole moments on an ongoing basis

    + Analyze KPIs/customer journeys to monitor and maximize effectiveness/ROI of both existing capabilities and new initiatives

    + Partner with marketing to develop comprehensive digital strategies that drive offline initiatives

    + Owns A/B testing strategy to enhance site experience and propose ongoing UX opportunities to the DMI / NGL teams

    Content Strategy:

    + Develop and manage content and digital merchandising calendars, ensuring content delivery and launch deadlines are met

    + Brief design teams (internal and external) on site content needs to support product launches, marketing campaigns, generosity and .com services

    + Oversee digital asset management process and the development of product detail pages for the brand’s .COM business

    + Serve as the central US point of contact to the DMI on all D2C content needs, feedback and approvals

    + Identify content needs and opportunities using consumer testing, predictive and generative AI tools and other resources

    What We Are Looking For:

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree

    + 4-6 years’ experience in direct-to-consumer brand(s)

    + Experience using SNOW or other project management tools

    + Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights and optimizations

    + Creative problem solver with the ability to prioritize initiatives and anticipate business needs

    + Strong product management skills; ability to solve problems and overcome obstacles to build product and deliver results in incremental and iterative way

    + Ability to build effective partnerships and interact successfully with diverse individuals at all levels

    + Skincare experience and interest in fields related to health, beauty and dermatology preferred

    + Self-starter able to adapt quickly to changes in priorities and multi-task multiple projects

    + Able to prioritize and manage time effectively, and to balance competing demands and priorities in a very fast-paced environment

    + Strong communication skills and extraordinary collaborative team spirit with ability to navigate complex team matrix

    + Professional and diplomatic style with a positive manner, attention to detail and a ‘can do’ attitude

    + Professional communication skills to work closely with internal teams and agency partners

    + Excellent written skills, with attention to detail

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in marketing or business

    + Prior experience with Google Analytics and SFCC platform

    Additional Benefits Information As Follows:

    Salary Range: $98,400- $140,200 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
