PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a motivated **Manufacturing Technician** to support an industry-leading aerospace partner at their **Beltsville, MD** facility. This **full-time, 6-month consultant opportunity** places you on the front lines of building advanced components for revolutionary aerospace systems. _This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license._

What You’ll Do – Your Day-to-Day Impact

Working a **9/80 first-shift schedule (Monday–Friday)** , you’ll be part of a hands-on team supporting fabrication, assembly, and production operations.

Responsibilities include:

+ Fabricating and assembling aerospace components, especially **honeycomb panels and mechanical structures**

+ Performing **setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing** of parts and assemblies

+ Following technical drawings and **manufacturing instructions with precision**

+ Operating tools and equipment, including **hand tools, adhesives, and power machinery**

+ Collecting and analyzing operating data to perform on-the-spot adjustments

+ Collaborating with engineers on **process improvements and experiments**

+ Supporting **schedule and build requirements** in coordination with leads and supervisors

+ Lifting materials (up to 50 lbs) and maintaining a strong focus on **safety and workmanship**

What You Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

+ **High school diploma or equivalent** (verified)

+ **2+ years of experience** in **honeycomb panel fabrication** or **mechanical assembly** in an aerospace or similar manufacturing environment

+ Ability to **read and interpret engineering drawings**

+ Experience using **hand tools, adhesives** , and mechanical measurement tools

+ Comfortable lifting up to **50 lbs** and working on a physical shop floor

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols

+ Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet production demands

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Familiarity with **epoxy and silicone adhesives** , especially for bonding aluminum skins and thermal components

+ Experience handling **hazardous materials** in accordance with OSHA standards

+ Basic **computer skills** , including Microsoft Word and Excel

+ Background in **aerospace fabrication or manufacturing** environments

**Pay Details:** $25.05 to $27.92 per hour
