    Job Summary

    This role will give you the opportunity to own the strategy development and deployment across the newly formed Global Operations and Supply chain organisation within the Large Electric Power Division.

     

    Reporting to the Director of Global Operations and Supply Chain, this role will support the Director with strategy development and deployment working with the Operational Facility Leads, Supply Chain, and Power Solutions Regional Managers.

     

    The organization is newly formed and brings with it the immediate need to consolidate key areas of strategy and organization both within existing facilities and including the integration of the management of an extensive and growing external and complementary supply base.

    What** **You Will Do:

    + Strategy development and deployment including:Business and Facilities cadence, Operational excellence – Organizational development and Lean Manufacturing

    + Project coordination across the business

    + Quality strategy – Customer Quality reporting, Built in Quality initiatives and business cadence

    + Support the Director in coordination of business activities

    + Own and run individual projects, supporting the Director and their first line

    + Deployment and training focused

    + Utilize project management tools and processes, to facilitate projects, lead chartering sessions, develop / validate network diagrams, lead integration and compression sessions

    + Designing, establishing, and monitoring the organization's project goals

    + Collaborating with colleagues on using a disciplined project management approach and coaching them on their project-related roles and responsibilities

    What You Will Have (Required Skills)

    + **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Extensive experience and knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment

    + **Influencing:** Extensive experience and knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization

    + **Managing Multiple Priorities:** Extensive experience and knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation

    + **Cross-Team Integration:** Extensive experience and understanding of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team

    + **Planning and Organizing:** Extensive experience and knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintainingwork in a systematic and highly methodical way

    Top Candidates Will Also Have** **(** **P** **referred** **S** **kills):

    + Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Management, Engineering, or related field

    + Previous experience including but not exclusive of: 6 Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt, project management, operations Management within a facility (s) with mature CPS (Caterpillar Production System- LEAN) and BIQ (Built in Quality) structures, engineering/procurement leadership, quality management and / or strategy deployment

    + **Budgeting:** Extensive experience and knowledge of organization's budget process; ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget

    + **Conflict Management:** Extensive experience and knowledge of managing conflicts; ability to anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group, or situation level

    + **Resource Management:** Extensive experience and knowledge of the resources required to achieve business objectives; ability to plan, mobilize and distribute resources to fulfil business objectives and plans

    Additional Information:

    + This position can be located in either Alpharetta, Georgia (USA) or Griffin, Georgia (USA)

    + Relocation is not available for this role

    + Weekly travel will be required between Griffin and Alpharetta, Georgia

    Summary Pay Range:

    $144,960.00 - $217,320.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
