    We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical **Computer Programmer** to join our dynamic team. As a crucial part of our research and development efforts, you will design, develop, implement, and support software applications, participate in the testing process, provide technical documentation inputs, and offer engineering support for various software and system modifications.

     

    This position is contingent upon award news Spring of 2026.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Design, develop, write, and implement software programming applications

    + Support and install software applications

    + Provide inputs and recommendations for technical documentation of new or existing programs

    + Plan and accomplish goals relying on experience and judgment, performing a variety of complex tasks

    + Provide computer programming support for development, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, analysis, reviews, and certification/accreditation of software and operating system modifications

    + Provide software troubleshooting and recommended modifications for specified applications

    + Support Human Machine Interface (HMI) Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) development and maintenance

    + Develop software for radio frequency distribution components, antennas, and feedlines in lab or shipboard environments

    + Design firmware for components or system blocks to meet specified requirements

    + Perform and report on functional testing of software, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Skills:

    + High School or GED equivalent

    + Five (5) years' experience in network computer equipment and routine computer programming

    + Demonstrated understanding of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python

    + Demonstrated ability to install software applications and perform software troubleshooting

    + Experience maintaining and modifying existing code and Operating Systems configurations

    + Experience with unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and acceptance testing

    + Experience designing, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications

    + Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Desired Skills:

    + Five (5) years' experience supporting DoD or Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Programs related to Navigation Systems

    + Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python

    + Experience with the development, maintenance, testing, and certification/accreditation of software for Human Machine Interface (HMI) Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs)

    + Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, MATLAB, and/or LabVIEW

    + Working knowledge of specifications and engineering standards for installation in lab and/or shipboard environments

    + Experience performing and reporting on non-functional software testing, including security, performance, usability, and compatibility testing
