Join the Supply Chain Information Technologies Inbound Logistics Team as a Software Engineer. We have ambitions to build a platform that will handle all vendor and Ford System data integration for Inbound Logistics. The company is moving the Material Management software to a new platform and our goal will be to provide the necessary data in the right format in the right time for this new technology at Ford. This position will transform how Ford operates and focus on improving operational efficiency.
Seeking a full stack software engineer with business acumen in Supply Chain Inbound Logistics. This position will contribute to the building of a GCP integration platform between operational systems. These operational systems support production at Ford Manufacturing facilities. The candidate should have working experience designing and building interfaces for the data to be received, formatted and sent to the destination system. We're looking for someone with Supply Chain or Manufacturing information technology experience.
+ Develop function/system specifications and swagger documents for peer review and implementation
+ Design/build solutions to receive and sent operational data in near real-time in Google Cloud Platform using API, Pub/Sub, Batch processes
+ Communicate effectively with vendors, product managers, process owners and stake holders
+ Identify and document issues and risks
+ Support Operations when there is a system failure
+ Grow and develop using latest technology and learning business operations
+ Bachelor's of Science Degree or related field
+ 1+ year of Automotive Manufacturing experience using IT to bring improved cost or quality to operations
+ Supply Chain using IT solutions to bring change that improves cost to operations
+ Working knowledge and expertise in the following development tools:
+ Java SpringBoot
+ Google Cloud Platform:
+ Cloud Run
+ Cloud Storage
+ DataFlow
+ Terraform
+ PostgreSQL
+ Docker
+ Github
+ Unit Testing, Integration Testing,Functional Testing
+ Python
+ CI/CD - Tekton Pipelines
+ AI Agent or Machine Learning a plus
