As a Staff Mobile Engineer, you will be a technical leader within the mobile team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality iOS and Android applications. You will play a key role in shaping our mobile architecture, mentoring junior engineers, and driving innovation across our mobile platforms.
What you'll do...
+ Lead the design and development of new features and improvements for our iOS and Android applications.
+ Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android).
+ Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement mobile solutions that meet user needs and business requirements.
+ Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with other team members.
+ Contribute to the development and maintenance of shared mobile libraries and frameworks.
+ Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize mobile applications for speed and efficiency.
+ Stay up to date with the latest mobile development trends and technologies.
+ Mentor and guide junior mobile engineers.
+ Contribute to the overall mobile strategy and roadmap.
+ Troubleshoot and debug complex mobile issues.
+ Write unit and UI tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions.
+ Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
+ Help define and enforce mobile development best practices and coding standards.
Potentially contribute to cross-platform development initiatives (e.g., React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform) depending on experience.
You'll have...
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field OR a combination of education and experience
+ 8+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.
+ 5+ years of experience developing native iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C.
+ 5+ years of experience developing native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
+ Deep understanding of mobile architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVC, Clean Architecture).
+ Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX design principles.
+ Experience with mobile testing frameworks and methodologies.
+ Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills.

+ Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
+ Experience developing and maintaining shared mobile libraries.
+ Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks (e.g., React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform).
+ Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines.
+ Experience with mobile analytics and performance monitoring tools.

This position is a range of salary grades 7-8.
SOUTHEAST MI RESIDENTS: Please note, this job is posted as remote unless the selected candidate lives within 50 miles of Dearborn, MI. In this case we request the candidate to be on-site 1-2 days a week.
