    What you'll do...

     

    The **Senior Manager - Last Mile Routing** is responsible for leading initiatives to support Walmart’s Last Mile Trip Routing strategy and execution. Seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Manager, Last Mile Routing, to lead and optimize our last-mile delivery operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge routing strategies that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the driver and customer experience.

     

    This role requires a strong background in Routing, Analytics, and Data science, with a proven ability to translate data insights into actionable Product and operational improvements. This specialist will focus on optimizing delivery routes, leveraging real-time data, and implementing innovative solutions to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries. This leader will partner closely with Last mile delivery business, Data Science, Product and Technology teams.

    You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

    + Utilize analytics to analyze delivery data, identify opportunities for route optimization.

    + Experience working with data science teams on AI / ML implementations and developing predictive models.

    + Design and implement efficient features in the Routing Solver, considering factors such as delivery windows, traffic patterns, vehicle capacity, and driver availability.

    + Conduct regular analysis of routing performance across the Last Mile business for all vehicle types and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

    + Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in last-mile logistics and routing.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, product, and operations teams to implement new routing features and capabilities.

    + You possess the ability to assume end-to-end ownership and autonomously lead cross-functional partners in executing strategic, high-visibility projects.

    + Improving the Last Mile Miles and Route quality, cost, and customer / driver experience metrics through improved trip planning

    + Prioritizing, influencing and deploying improvements in technology for Last Mile Routing

    + Thinking and executing strategically about the future of Routing to incorporate Walmart strategic programs at lowest cost and best experience

    The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

    Minimum Qualifications...

    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations , or related field and 3 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area. 1 year’s supervisory experience.
