    What's the job?

     

    **The ideal candidate will reside in one of the following major city areas, Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta, Charlotte, or Detroit**

     

    Saint-Gobain Building Materials' presence within major home improvement retailers, with a dedicated focus on the PRO Retail Customer/Contractor segment. Elevating beyond a coordination role, this individual will lead strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening brand presence, growing market share, and delivering exceptional service to Pro customers in collaboration with National Account Managers, Retail Sales Leadership, and cross-functional Business Units.

     

    This role includes responsibility for developing regional and national strategies to drive engagement with the Pro segment, executing promotional initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, and mentoring Retail Pro Specialists and Territory Reps to align efforts with the One CertainTeed strategy.

    Essential Functions:

    • Lead the development and execution of strategies that drive engagement and sales growth among PRO customers across all major retail accounts.

    • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and sales data to identify new opportunities and shape go-to-market strategies for the retail PRO channel.

    • Mentor and support Retail Pro Specialists and Retail Territory Reps in the execution of contractor-focused programs and initiatives.

    • Collaborate with National Account Managers, Marketing, and Business Units to ensure a unified approach to contractor engagement across all brands and products.

    • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for PRO initiatives within key retailers, representing Saint-Gobain at national events, trade shows, and executive-level meetings.

    • Develop strong relationships with retailer leadership, outside sales organizations, and influential contractors to elevate brand preference.

    • Lead internal and external training programs focused on selling skills, technical product knowledge, and installation methods.

    • Build scalable programs and toolkits for contractor engagement, retailer training, and associate development.

    • Plan and oversee execution of PRO marketing events, training sessions, and in-store activations in alignment with account objectives.

    • Track performance and provide data-driven insights to guide investments and program refinements.

    • Drive attainment of sales goals across assigned retail accounts, leveraging product promotions, new product introductions, and contractor engagement tactics.

    • Operate within budgetary constraints and support ROI-based decision-making for all Pro-focused retail initiatives.

    Other Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent relationship building skills.

    • This position requires a self-starting, highly motivated, individual who works well in a team environment and with minimal supervision.

    • Participates in Retail Core Team meetings

    • Performs other duties as assigned or requested by management

    • Requires adaptability and methodical/analytical problem-solving skills

    • Detail oriented and deadline sensitive

    • Execute marketing and sales promotional initiatives.

    What do you bring?

     

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

    + 5+ years of progressive experience in retail, sales, or business development, specifically within the home center/big box retail environment. Building materials experience, a plus.

    + Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic programs

    + Experience working across matrixed organizations and with national retailers

    + Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship management skills

    + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)

    + Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration and sales techniques.

    + Effective communication skills - presenting, active listening, influencing both oral and written

    + Candidates must have an interest in promoting and demonstrating building materials

    + Strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability multi-task and work on several projects at a time

    + Communication skills, including online meeting management

    + Strong interpersonal skills; must be a team player

    Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is **$89,500** to **$138,500** per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

     

    In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is **12%** of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is **$100,200** to **$155,100** Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
