The Role at a Glance
As an Associate Financial Analyst, Human Resources, you will bridge Human Resources and Finance by scrutinizing financial data to evaluate performance and guide strategic planning. You will encompass essential duties such as period-end closing, fiscal financial planning, forecasting for HR operations, and managing ad hoc reporting and special projects.
Team Collaboration: You will assist in preparing team deliverables, including financial reports, internal financial reporting, and activities related to the period close process. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
Journal Entries & Reconciliations: You will perform journal entries and reconciliations for Human Resources functional area accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Balance Sheet & P&L Analysis: You will reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze account activity for compliance with GAAP and company policy. Dive deep into P&L activity to identify root causes of variances to budget/forecast and highlight trends. Communicate your findings to the Senior Financial Analyst to drive informed decision-making.
Business Partner Support: You will provide valuable information and reports to business partners as needed to drive the business and make sound financial decisions.
Invoice & Vendor Payment Tracking: You will track and analyze functional area invoices and vendor payment data to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Process Documentation: You will create and maintain comprehensive process documentation to support ongoing operations and improvements.
Close Processes: You will perform month-end, period close, quarter close, and year-end close activities, ensuring all daily tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Continuous Improvement: You will support continuous improvement initiatives through automation, system configuration, upgrades, and integration. Your innovative ideas will help streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Cross-Training: You will collaborate with other team members to cross-train on critical report processes, fostering a versatile and resilient team.
Ad Hoc Analyses: You will complete ad hoc analyses, including extraction and manipulation of data, as requested. Your analytical skills will be crucial in providing insights and supporting various projects.
What We’re Looking For
Education: You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. A Master’s degree is a plus and will be highly regarded.
Experience: You bring 1 - 3 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or a related finance field. Internship experience is also acceptable and will be considered.
Tech Savvy: You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookup functions, is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word is also required.
Organizational & Time Management Skills: You are well-organized with a high attention to detail, and able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Analytical & Communication Skills: You hold strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent human relations and written communication skills.

Certification: CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification preferred
