The Ops Analytics Team empowers stakeholders with timely and relevant data driven insights to help run a more customer centric and dependable airline.

Job overview and responsibilities

The Analyst is responsible for operational data collation and analysis, partnering with stakeholders and business leaders at all levels of the organization. Plays a key role in uncovering trends and root causes, and utilizing analytics to drive company performance goals, particularly related to scheduled aircraft block times. Enhances decision-making by transforming data into actionable insights related to process, productivity, strategic initiatives, efficiency, and overall operational reliability.

+ Enable enterprise on-time reliability objectives to be met via ownership of scheduled aircraft block times for a given Hub/Region. Ensuring appropriate allocation of time through understanding of operational drivers impacting scheduled block performance

+ Support development of high-quality visual presentations, ad hoc analyses, dashboards, tools, and reports for teams both within and outside of Air Ops

+ Translate business requirements and generate actionable insights into drivers of operational performance through root cause analysis, business knowledge, modeling, and statistical techniques. Focus is on optimizing key areas such as reliability, planning, and execution

+ Communicate updates and actionable outcomes with easy-to-interpret visualizations and practical recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences

+ Collaborate with cross-functional analytics and business groups to integrate data-driven insights into business operations, enhance decision-making, and increase operational efficiency

+ Contribute to the automation, creation, and continuous improvement of operational reports, processes, models, and analyses

NOTE: This position is based at the CSC-Willis Tower in Chicago IL and considered as a hybrid work-schedule working 3 days in-office (Tue-Thu), however that may evolve with the needs of the company.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Engineering, or other Quantitative/Analytical discipline or relevant work experience

+ 1-2 years of analytical or airline experience

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

+ Experience in methods of querying and manipulating data (i.e. SQL, Python, Foundry, etc.)

+ Experience in data visualization skills using one or more reporting tools (i.e. Spotfire, Tableau, PowerBI, ThinkCell, etc)

+ Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work cross-functionally

+ Must be willing and able to travel a minimum of 10% to Hub locations

+ Must be willing and able to work a hybrid work schedule 3 days in-office at the CSC-Wills Tower in Chicago, IL

+ This role is not eligible for relocation and must be willing to relocate at your own expense

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

+ Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

+ Master's degree

+ Prior airline experience or knowledge preferred

The base pay range for this role is $64,885.00 to $88,440.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
