Citi Bike, New York City’s bike share program, currently reaches four boroughs with more than 37,000 bicycles and 2,000 stations and is continuing to grow. The program has become an integral part of NYC’s transportation network and more than half of NYC’s population will live within a 5-minute walk of a Citi Bike station. DOT also manages a e-scooter share program in the East Bronx and Eastern Queens with three vendors. The program has over 10,000 e-scooters and has seen over 6 million trips since launch in 2021. DOT is currently in the process of planning and installing new designated e-scooter share parking locations across both service areas. In addition, e-moped share has proliferated in NYC and DOT has implemented a regulatory framework for these services.
