Job Description:

Associate Civil Transportation Engineer – Infrastructure – San Diego, California

Opportunity :

Our **Parsons San Diego office** has an exciting new opportunity for an **Associate Civil Transportation Engineer** to work with design engineering **of road & highway systems supporting Caltrans, City of San Diego, and County of San Diego primarily** for **public works transportation projects** **in the San Diego area** . You will perform a variety of engineering duties by applying basic engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline. The Engineer at this level is in a developmental mode, being trained under close supervision in the utilization of engineering theories and practices, and gaining exposure to Company procedures. **This position is open to new graduates from a Civil Engineering Degree program.**

Remote hybrid work allowed for this position ( meaning ability to work from home 1-2 days per week).

Responsibilities :

Will utilize Microstation and/or Autocad Civil 3D CAD software to perform geometric alignments for road, highway, and other transportation projects in Southern California.

Performs various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a four-year university engineering program, and available data in the engineering field.

Prepares or assists in preparing fundamental engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.

Assists in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.

Under the guidance of a more senior engineer, assists in reviewing supplier drawing submittals and technical bid analyses.

Assists in the preparation and issuance of specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.

Provides input to CAD Designer/Drafters working on the same project.

Requirements :

4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 0-3 years of related work experience with transportation systems design

(EIT) is highly desirable, but not required..

Some previous internships experience for new graduates is highly desirable.

Salary Range: $26.25 - $45.96
