    Summary:

    Meta is seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to join our dynamic Corporate Accounting team. In this specific role, you will be responsible for performing accounting transactions and processes to support daily operations and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies. You will play a critical role in Meta’s month-end financial close process and will be responsible for devising strategic plans to optimize our accounting processes to support scale as Meta’s business continues to grow and effectively manage an off-shore team. The individual will be expected to problem solve, manage projects, design innovative technologies that can scale our accounting processes, and exercise good business judgment while performing their functions.

    Required Skills:

    Corporate Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

    1. Work within a Corporate Accounting global process function, with responsibility for key financial reporting areas (Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet)

    2. Ensure an accurate and timely US GAAP month end close by providing management and support to the accounting close process. This role includes serving as a hands-on team member responsible for performing and reviewing accounting transactions including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis

    3. Coach and develop the offshore team and ensure they perform according to expectations or the established desk-top procedures

    4. Partner with our global Corporate Accounting team and Finance organization, including legal, product, engineering, tax, risk teams, to implement scalable worldwide processes, systems & controls

    5. Lead projects to identify, design, test and roll-out new financial reporting systems and tools

    6. Assist with the implementation of new accounting policy, including related new controls

    7. Contribute to the quarterly SEC reporting cycle

    8. Ensure compliance with key controls and audit requirements, and provide accounting support to our statutory compliance teams

    Minimum Qualifications:

    9. BA/BS degree required in Accounting, Finance or equivalent

    10. 7+ years relevant experience in the accounting profession

    11. Knowledge of US GAAP and internal control best practices

    12. Skilled in comprehending end-to-end systems that impact accounting processes, with experience in effectively scaling financial operations

    13. Experience with financial statements and general ledger entries or review

    14. Proven working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft tools

    15. Self-starter and experienced in working independently as a significant individual contributor with minimal guidance

    16. Big 4 audit experience and Certified Public Accountant

    17. Proven experience in planning, analytical, and presentation skills

    18. Organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement

    19. Superb attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the "big picture” and the importance of risk mitigation and a controls environment

    20. Experience identifying problematic areas and determine root cause

    21. Experience with Oracle Financials, SAP or ERP system

    22. Experience streamlining processes

    23. Business partnering experience

    24. Experience with large, fast-growing, multinational company

    Public Compensation:

    $113,000/year to $165,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
