    GENERAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily quality assurance activities to ensure products meet internal and customer standards. This role oversees inspection teams, supports compliance with ISO and regulatory standards, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Will include the following, but other duties may be assigned:

    + Supervises and coordinates the work of Quality Technicians and Inspectors across shifts.

    + Ensures proper execution of inspection, testing, and documentation activities according to specifications and procedures.

    + Conducts root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for quality issues (CAPA).

    + Monitors and reports on key quality metrics (e.g., scrap rate, defect trends, first pass yield).

    + Supports internal and external audits, including ISO, customer, and regulatory inspections.

    + Trains quality staff on inspection methods, quality tools, and safety standards.

    + Collaborates with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality concerns.

    + Maintains quality documentation, including non-conformance reports (NCRs), inspection records, and control plans.

    + Participates in new product introductions (NPI) to ensure quality requirements are met.

    + Lead 5S and continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or related field preferred.

    + 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role; at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role preferred.

    + Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or relevant quality management systems.

    + Proficient in reading technical drawings, GD&T, and using standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).

    + Experience with root cause analysis tools (5 Why’s, Fishbone, FMEA, etc.).

    + Certified Quality Technician (CQT), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

    + Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality software systems (e.g., ERP, SPC, QMS).

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    + Statistical Process Control (SPC)

    + Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

    + Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram)

    + Control Plans and Process Flow Diagrams

    + Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R)

    + Use of precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs)

    + Incoming, in-process, and final inspection methods

    + Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), where applicable

    + Ability to identify trends, interpret test data, and drive root cause resolution

    + Attention to Detail: Accuracy in reviewing specifications and measurements

    + Communication: Ability to write clear reports and collaborate across departments

    + Teamwork: Work with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve issues

    + Time Management: Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and support production schedules

    + Leadership (if senior-level): Lead quality initiatives and mentor technicians
